Techno India Group (Newtown campus) celebrated "Swadheen" , the 73rd Independence Day on 15th August 2019. Chief guest for the day, Mr. Naparajit Mukherjee, Chairman, State Human Rights Commission, hoisted the tricolour.

The gamut of celebration activities comprised of a cultural program consisting of the welcome address by V.C. of Sister Nivedita University, Prof.(Dr.) Ashok Ranjan Thakur, followed by a musical program by Hridmajhare - the music club of Techno International New Town as well as by the students and faculty members of SNU.

A football match between the students was conducted by TINT sports committee and SNU in the NKDA stadium commemorating the special day.
